Cellure didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a big budget. It began at a kitchen table — during late nights, long days, and a mother’s unwavering commitment to do better for her family, her community, and herself.
At its core, Cellure is a story of grit, grace, and purpose — and it’s all rooted in the personal journey of founder Bintou Fofana.
Bintou saw it firsthand: families in Europe, especially from the African diaspora, were spending way too much on iPhones — often buying from unreliable sellers with no warranty, no support, and no guarantees.
Back home in The Gambia, things were even harder. Phones arrived late or broken. Repairs were expensive. People couldn’t always tell if what they were buying was real or fake.
It wasn’t just frustrating — it was unfair.
“We deserved better. We deserved something built on trust.”
That realization became the spark for Cellure.
In the beginning, Bintou worked full-time during the day, cared for her son at night, and built Cellure during the in-between hours. There were no investors, no big team — just one woman, a laptop, and a dream.
She used her years of experience in the tech and refurbishing industry to personally inspect and source quality devices. Every iPhone that passed through her hands was tested, graded, and prepared with care — as if it were going to her own family.
As orders grew, so did the vision.
Cellure is now supported by a tight-knit, talented team:
Device Repairs & Quality Checks are handled by Bintou’s brother, a trained technician with years of iPhone experience.
Finance & Records are managed by her other brother, an accountant who ensures everything runs transparently and sustainably.
Customer Service & Strategy are still led by Bintou herself.
What started as a small webshop has become a cross-continent bridge — connecting families from Amsterdam to Banjul with devices they can trust, at prices they can afford.
Cellure is not just another refurbisher. Every decision is made with care, culture, and clarity in mind.
✅ Trust, not guesswork – You know exactly what you’re buying: the model, condition, battery health, and accessories.
✅ Support that speaks your language – Literally. Our team understands the needs of both European and African customers.
✅ Safe shipping to The Gambia – We offer direct delivery or pickup in Fajara, with extra protection and peace of mind.
✅ A woman-led mission – We’re proudly built by a Black woman entrepreneur who understands what it means to build something from the ground up.
Today, Cellure serves customers across the Netherlands and Europe — and in 2026, we’ll open a physical walk-in store in The Gambia. This will give local buyers a chance to touch, test, and trust what they’re buying — just like in any store in Europe.
We’ll continue expanding our selection of iPhones, accessories, and smart devices. But the heart of Cellure will never change:
We don’t just sell iPhones. We deliver value, connection, and dignity.
“If you’re reading this, thank you for supporting Cellure. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning customer, you’re part of something bigger — a tech journey built on family, faith, and a belief that everyone deserves better.”
– Bintou Fofana, Founder of Cellure
